Welcome to my "About Me" page!
I am so glad you stopped by! Grab a glass a tea and stay a while!
My name is Alison Harris and I am the PE Teacher at Walton Ferry Elementary School. I have taught for 19 years and loved every minute of it. I love my job and teaching PE is just plain FUN! We have the best students and in my class we get to be a bit more casual and relaxed in others, all while learning!
Let me tell you a bit about myself! I am 41 years old and live right here in Gallatin, TN. I attended Robertson County Schools growing up and then went onto Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. to pursue my passion. I graduated in 2003 with my Bachelor of Science with Teacher Licensure Degree and again in 2005 with my Master of Arts in Education, both from Cumberland! GO BULLDOGS! While there, I played on the Women's Tennis Team and was involved with many other activities throughout my years.
I met my husband there, Josh. He came to Cumberland University on a basketball scholarship and we met at Freshman physicals. We were best friends for two years, and then married on August 2, 2003. He is one super cool dude. He is also a teacher in Sumner County at Beech High School teaching 9-12th Grade Design Engineering Classes.
